Background

The Clowning For Kidz Foundation, Inc. is a local 501(c)3 non-profit public charity, formed in 2008 for the sole purpose of helping children in need under the age of sixteen, through the art of clowning.
Founder Jim Allard, also known as Nit-Wit the Clown, says “It’s all about the kids. There are no boundaries and no borders to the help we will provide to a child in need.”

The all-volunteer Clowning For Kidz Foundation raises revenue through participation in events, and parades around New England and with “funraisers” such as the Annual Clowning For Kidz Foundation Car Show and Family Fun Day.

“The Clowning For Kidz Foundation is unique in that we do not have borders. We can help children anywhere around the world, however, much of our assistance is in the local community,” says Jim Allard. The Foundations’ international reach provided school supplies for an entire school in the Philippines; technology and clothing to orphanages in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, respectively.

Clowns in the Clowning For Kidz Foundation range in age from young to young-at-heart. Each clown personality is friendly. Our clowns give their time and talent and enjoy helping children. All Clowning For Kidz Foundation volunteers and clowns have passed Criminal Offender Registry Indicator (C.O.R.I) and Sex Offender Registry Indicator (S.O.R.I) background checks.

The world runs on laughter and the Clowning For Kidz Foundation hopes by sharing our love, laughter and resources, we will bring genuine smiles to children of all ages.
